Video Watermark
Use Video Watermark, review the result, and keep the original until the output is checked.
How to use Video Watermark
- Add the videos, then supply the mark: a PNG or other image under Image Watermark, or a phrase under Text Watermark.
- For an image, set Watermark Size as a percentage of that image's own pixels - Original keeps it at full size, Medium draws it at a fifth.
- Choose a position on the 9-point grid and set Margin (px) to nudge it off the edge.
- For text, set Font, Font Size (in video pixels) and Color, adjust Opacity and Rotation, then press Convert All.
What Video Watermark actually does to your file
A mark is composited onto every frame during the re-encode, so it is part of the picture, not an overlay a player can hide - and that also means the whole video is re-encoded to add it. A transparent PNG is what you want; an image with a solid background covers the frame. The preview draws the mark with the same size, opacity and rotation maths as the export, so what sits on the frame in the preview is where it lands in the file - and a mark wider than the video is pulled back inside the edge instead of being silently cut off. Quality is x264 CRF: lower is better and bigger, and on a 6-second 640x360 test clip CRF 30 came out at a little under half the size of CRF 23. AVI has no CRF, so the same slider is mapped to its 1-31 quantiser. Format changes the wait as much as the size: the same 6-second test clip took under a minute as MP4 and about three minutes as WebM, because VP9 encodes far slower than x264.
Video Watermark FAQ
What does Video Watermark do?
Add a text or image watermark to a supported video. Adjust the available position and appearance controls, preview the clip, and download the result.
Which files work with Video Watermark?
This category commonly supports MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WMV, FLV, WebM, and 3GP. Use the accepted file types shown in the uploader, because support varies by browser and by the engine behind each tool.
Can I remove a watermark from a file?
Only if you own the source or have permission to edit it. Removal tools patch the pixels around the mark and cannot restore what was covered, so keep the unwatermarked original.
Will my original file be changed?
No. The work is done on a copy in this tab by a WebAssembly build of ffmpeg, and the result arrives as a separate download, so your original is still there if you need it.
How is my file processed?
It is not uploaded. The processing is done locally by a WebAssembly build of ffmpeg, so the practical ceiling is your device's memory and the limit shown beside the uploader - no queue, no account, no copy on a server.
Is the Video Watermark free?
Yes. The Video Watermark is free with no trial limit, subscription, or watermark on downloads. You can use it for personal and commercial projects without creating an account.
