How to use Markdown PDF
- Paste or Open Markdown in the left pane.
- Press Convert to PDF, then Preview PDF to see how the pages broke.
- Adjust the document itself - headings, spacing, tables - and convert again until the page breaks land where you want them.
- Press Download; the file is named after the Markdown you opened, or document.pdf if you typed it.

What Markdown PDF actually does to your file
Markdown to PDF is drawn, not written: the rendered page becomes a picture laid onto A4 sheets, so it looks like your Markdown but nothing inside it can be selected, searched or read by a screen reader. Page breaks fall at fixed heights and can slice a line in half - add or remove a paragraph to move the cut. The reverse direction reads every page and keeps the line breaks and word spacing it finds, but structure is not reconstructed: a heading comes out as an ordinary line and a table arrives as loose lines of text. The first line gets a heading taken from the PDF's own title, or from its filename when it has no title. A scanned PDF has no text to read and stops with an explanation instead of an empty file. Clear on either side discards that side's result, so Download afterwards reports nothing to save.
