What Barcode Generator actually does to your file
A code only scans if the contrast and module size survive printing: keep dark bars on a light background, and test with a phone camera before a print run. Details shows two numbers - what you typed and what is actually printed, because EAN and UPC get a check digit added (12 digits in, 13 printed). Values the symbology cannot carry are named on a red card and listed in the summary instead of quietly disappearing: CODE128 takes latin text only, so café or 中文 needs the QR Code, which does carry them. The camera reader decodes QR codes only - a striped label needs a handheld scanner or your thumbs on the keypad. The sample-values helper writes throwaway numbers into the batch box for proofing a sheet; they are not registered product codes.
