How to use Extract PDF Pages

- Choose Extract by page range and enter Start and End, or choose Select pages and tick the thumbnails - Switch to Select shows them.
- Tick the pages in the order you want them to appear, since output order follows the order you click rather than the original numbering.

Only pages of the file being processed go into that file's output. The thumbnails are previews drawn in your browser at low resolution - they are not part of the result. If nothing is ticked the tool says so and skips the file, and a password-protected PDF cannot be opened at all.
